Established in May 2008, The Farmyard stands on a traditional Somerset farm owned by the Snell family, who have farmed in this region for five generations. The farm, home to a pedigree herd of Longhorn cattle, produces top-quality beef sold at The Trough, our on-site café and restaurant. Following the decision to shift from dairy farming, we partnered with a local award-winning architect to create state-of-the-art apartments with a traditional façade on one side and a modern zinc-and-glass design on the other, leading The Farmyard into the future.
THE APARTMENTS
All five apartments feature a two-floor layout with a bedroom upstairs and a living room and kitchen downstairs. This arrangement makes it ideal for busy professionals away from home or anyone seeking a relaxing escape.

Our interiors blend style and comfort, offering king-size beds with Egyptian cotton sheets, fluffy robes and slippers, underfloor heating and free Wi-Fi.

Guests can unwind on the patio or embark on scenic walks around the farm and its many footpaths, with country pubs along the way for a cosy stop—wellies recommended!
